Jesus told me in October 2010 that He was going to teach me how to cook as a means of having a deeper relationship with Him. This is the wild safari of me learning how to cook and enjoy it, hopefully without burning anything! Enjoy! :)

Chicken.

Here it goes. I got a Word last friday night that Jesus was going to teach me how to cook. thank GOD. haha. i usually burn water, no more in Jesus name!! so.... my first project was chicken. i had about a whole platter of chicken in the freezer, a George Foreman grill.... and no clue how to marinade it... oh dear! so i went to the fridge, opened it and asked Jesus, "ok. how will we do this??".... (yes, ask Him about the simple things...:) I grabbed some balsamic vinaigrette and Soyaki Soy sauce...hoping i wasnt making a huge mistake. I then grabbed a small container of lemon seasoning for chicken out of the cabinet. I poured the balsamic dressing into a bowl with the soyaki... freaking out, ill admit, while defrosting the chicken in the microwave.the chicken came out and took a swim in the bowl of "marinade".... i hoped. i then put the chicken in the grill (which i had lightly greased with olive oil), and added a nice sprinkle of lemon seasoning on top, closed the grill and hoped for the best as i reached into the freezer to make broccoli, which i made boiled on the stove as the chicken cooked. the chicken came out 5 minutes later and BOOM, a smell of deliciousness wafted through the kitchen. to my great delight, the chicken was already done! it was moist (though i hate that word), light and delightfully cooked. the taste was like a bit vinegarry with lemon aftertaste and the broccoli (seasoned with salt and pepper) was amazing. well done for a first lesson, Jesus!the cup on top was an amazing cup of mint tea.yum.
